We Need Divine Surgery….ASAP!

Judges 3:1-5 NLT 1 These are the nations that the LORD left in the land to test those Israelites who had not experienced the wars of Canaan. 2 He did this to teach warfare to generations of Israelites who had no experience in battle. 3 These are the nations: the Philistines (those living under the five Philistine rulers), all the Canaanites, the Sidonians, and the Hivites living in the mountains of Lebanon from Mount Baal-hermon to Lebo-hamath. 4 These people were left to test the Israelites—to see whether they would obey the commands the LORD had given to their ancestors through Moses. 5 So the people of Israel lived among the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, 6 and they intermarried with them. Israelite sons married their daughters, and Israelite daughters were given in marriage to their sons. And the Israelites served their gods.

We want God to destroy our enemies. We see them all around us. They attack and attack. We seem to have no or very little peace in our lives and always appear to be fighting.

We want God to bless us, give us peace and joy. We want to worship Him and praise Him.

However, we ask God, why won’t He destroy these enemies so that we can have peace?

The problem is that we don’t realize that God IS destroying them.  All of them. They are just not the enemies we see with our physical eye. The ones God are destroying are within us!

Romans 7:18 NIV18 I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.

Everything that God takes us through, is to destroy enemies within us that are preventing us from trusting solely in Him, from completely loving Him and from totally allowing us to rest in Him.  These enemies, only God can destroy.  But to do so, He has to get to where they exist.

Unfortunately, these enemies attempt to fortified themselves against God in the form of our lusts, desires of the world and our wants.  They try to hide themselves from God behind man-made goals and false things we place our security in.  They often wear masks of self-righteousness, self-pity, self-confidence and self-reliance.  We can’t often see them we our limited vision, but God can. We can’t touch them or defeat them, but God can.

Interfering in every aspect of life, alcohol is often held as the prime culprit behind deteriorating relationships with the near and dear ones. professional viagra cheap Counseling the patients is highly advised when the patient does not complain of pain new.castillodeprincesas.com sildenafil india price or discomfort but has infection-fighting cells in his prostate fluid and semen. Cancer cell are also less able to recover from the toxic effects of chemotherapy than viagra generika can normal cells. These enemies are like cancer, that takes harsh treatments to cure or eradicate. They are like a 100yr old house where the walls have 5-6 layers of wallpaper on them, covered up with 3 coats of paint.  They are like the squeaks and rattles in our cars that we can’t find. So we turn up our radios so we can no longer hear them.

God reminds us in His Word and by His actions that every promise He has made to His Children, He will fulfill.  Every one!  I truly believe that God has removed the power that these enemies hold over us. But the problem is that for every one that God reveals to us that He has made powerless, we allow another one to take its place.  This occurs when we become too busy and are in a hurry to wait on God’s Will to be completed in many areas of our lives.  Its like leaving the operating table before the surgery is completed. Or its like washing the car and not taking the time to dry it. Basically, we are refusing to rest in Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to complete His purpose of defeating these enemies within us.

Jeremiah 13:10-11NIV 10 These wicked people, who refuse to listen to my words, who follow the stubbornness of their hearts and go after other gods to serve and worship them, will be like this belt—completely useless! 11 For as a belt is bound around a man’s waist, so I bound the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah to me,’ declares the LORD, ‘to be my people for my renown and praise and honor. But they have not listened.’

I often hear God telling me, ” If you would just stop wiggling out of My grasp when I hold you close to Me, I wouldn’t have to hold you tighter.  I won’t lose you, but the more you squirm to get out of My arms, the more I must squeeze to hold on to you.”

I believe that it hurts God to see us struggle. It hurts Him to see us show love and attention to what He knows is only there to steal our hearts from Him. Further, He is just and His Word must stand. He will not lose any that He has given to His Son. And because there are still many to come to Him, God will not bring final judgment to satan, until the time that He and He alone has determined.

We must stop running from God and let Him love us.  He have to know that He will do all that He has promised us.

Romans 8:1-3 NIV 1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering.

May you allow God to minister to you today. Take the time to simply listen and allow His Spirit to comfort, heal and restore you.  Allow Him to perfect you in a way that you can’t nor never will be able to.  God desires to be with us every step of the way, but He will not force Himself onto anyone.  He loves us that much to allow us to choose Him.  I pray that you choose Him now in every area of your life.
