Heavenly Father, we thank you for another day, another year, another moment and opportunity to praise and worship you. Thank you for your blessings throughout last year and those you have already put into position for us this year. We only ask that you continue to condition our hearts and minds to seek more of you and less of this world. We not only desire, but pray that during this new year, we become more like Christ in our thinking, in our actions, in our loving others and especially, in loving you. Help us to keep our eyes on Christ and not on the winds and the waves that may come. Help us to seek your Word as our guide and light instead of everything else. Let us be more prayerful, not for material things, but for those spiritual fruits that you have available for all your children who desires them. Create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us. For we do realize, that only you can see those deep dark stains within us, that only the blood of Christ can cleanse. We want to please you, not only today, but every day that you give us. For it is you we praise and desire to bring you glory to your most precious and Holy name. We declare and decree that our lives are yours. Help us to be more patient, more humble, more bold, more loving in living for you. We know that we are victorious in all things because of Christ and we thank you for it. We love you and ask these things in Jesus name. Amen.
“You do not have to worry about a thing, because I am forever near.” – Jesus
Luke 12:22-34 NKJV 22 Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. 23 Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. 24 Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds? 25 And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? 26 If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest? 27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28 If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith?29 “And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. 30 For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. 31 But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.32 “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys. 34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

May you begin not only believing, but knowing that as Children of the Most High God, Joint-Heirs with Christ to the Kingdom of Heaven, our future is set. We will be glorified with Christ at God’s appropriate time. Although we will have to face various storms and trials along the way, we have a Shepherd, a Comforter, a Protector, a Savior, a Friend. an Advocate, a Way-Maker, and an All-Powerful, All-Seeing, All-Knowing God, who loves us more than we can comprehend. I can’t really think of much more we could ever need.
God is poised to continue to bless His Children through our faith. My prayer is that our faith grows to match the matchless power of our Creator.
