Heavenly Father, we declare that today is Your day. We surrender, we submit, we give all that we have and all that we are to You. Thank You for finding us acceptable to be used by Your Spirit. We thank You for calling us to Your Son and for preparing our hearts to receive and accept Your Salvation, Redemption and Restitution. We ask for Your Favor today and an extra portion of Grace. Help us to keep Your Word in the good soil of our hearts, our eyes fixed on the Cross and ears attentive to Your voice and Your voice only. We walk in Victory today because it is Your Will for us. Thank You Lord, our God for this day. It is in Jesus, precious name we pray, Amen.

Isaiah 31:1 NLT What sorrow awaits those who look to Egypt for help, trusting their horses, chariots, and charioteers and depending on the strength of human armies instead of looking to the LORD, the Holy One of Israel.
There are many things that we look to for assistance in our everyday lives: people, organizations, communities, family, etc. In fact, some of them I believe are sent by God due to our prayers or the prayers of others. And we should always thank God for those who come to our side in sincere caring and love to help us.
However, it is to Christ, we must put our hopes and trust in…first. We must first look to the Throne of God’s Grace and Mercy for our help in times of need, struggle, and even our wants and desires. I know we know and believe this to be true, its just that sometimes our impatience creeps in and whisper to us to take matters into our own hands.
I’ve been there, done that, and bought the tee shirt, as they say. And what I have learned is, if God hasn’t given instructions to go to this person or to do this or that, then we must stop and wait. We must be patient and be determined to trust and depend only in the Lord. For no one really knows what we need better than God. People may have the best intentions for us, but it can be just like taking the wrong medicine for the wrong ailment or sickness. It might be readily available, sounds good, tastes great, but can and will cause you more harm than good.
When we patiently wait on the Lord, after making our requests known to Him, He never fails to provide the right answer or satisfies our needs.
