Father God, we come to You this morning with hearts heavy for the condition of this world. It seems that everywhere we turn there is reports of violence, hurt, pain and destruction. It seems as if evil is winning and mankind has lost. But Father, we know that this is just another lie of the enemy, for we know that Your Kingdom has come and Your Will is being done. Give us strength Lord to be willing, humble, praying and loving vessels for You to use each and every day. Let Your love and strength fill our very souls to overflowing. Help us to preach, teach, speak and live the Gospel, boldly before all men. Not in self-glorification, but in glorifying Your Holy and Precious Name. Help us to remember to plant the seeds of Righteousness, Love, Compassion, Peace, Joy and Mercy to all that You place in our paths. We thank You Father, that no matter what it appears to our human eye, we know by Your Spirit, that the Victory has already been won. Your Kingdom is eternal and we thank You for rescuing us so that we can join You in Your glory. Therefore, grant us the Spirit to give and share Christ to all. For now’s the time, more than ever, that the world is in need of our Savior. This world is in need of Hope. This world is in need of You. Thank You Father for hearing and answering our prayer. For it is in Jesus name, we do pray, Amen.
“Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant.” — Robert Louis Stevenson
Luke 8:5-15 NLT 5 “A farmer went out to plant his seed. As he scattered it across his field, some seed fell on a footpath, where it was stepped on, and the birds ate it. 6 Other seed fell among rocks. It began to grow, but the plant soon wilted and died for lack of moisture. 7 Other seed fell among thorns that grew up with it and choked out the tender plants. 8 Still other seed fell on fertile soil. This seed grew and produced a crop that was a hundred times as much as had been planted!” When he had said this, he called out, “Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand.”
9 His disciples asked him what this parable meant. 10 He replied, “You are permitted to understand the secrets of the Kingdom of God. But I use parables to teach the others so that the Scriptures might be fulfilled:
‘When they look, they won’t really see.
When they hear, they won’t understand.’
11 “This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is God’s word. 12 The seeds that fell on the footpath represent those who hear the message, only to have the devil come and take it away from their hearts and prevent them from believing and being saved. 13 The seeds on the rocky soil represent those who hear the message and receive it with joy. But since they don’t have deep roots, they believe for a while, then they fall away when they face temptation. 14 The seeds that fell among the thorns represent those who hear the message, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the cares and riches and pleasures of this life. And so they never grow into maturity. 15 And the seeds that fell on the good soil represent honest, good-hearted people who hear God’s word, cling to it, and patiently produce a huge harvest.
Jesus, said it Himself, that all will not hear nor listen to the Word of God. However, some will. We are not privileged to know who will hear and who will not. In fact, we are instructed not to make that our focus. We are only to share the Gospel to all, when and wherever we are led by the Spirit to do so.

Just like you and me, everyone will have the opportunity to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And just like you and me, they will have the wonderful opportunity to choose to believe, repent and be saved. And just like you and me, my prayer is that they may need more than one opportunity to do so. Because personally, I did not receive Christ the first time I heard His name shared with me. In fact, I don’t think I responded in the affirmative, the second or third time. But I am totally grateful and thankful that God did not give up on me and gave me many more chances to come to His Son. That opportunity lies for many others.
With the mounting reports of all the bad, the evil, the destruction and loss of life in the world, it is easy to want to give up and fall into a state of complacency or even hopelessness for the condition of this world. But we are to maintain our focus on the Power and Sovereignty of Almighty God. We are to continue to do what the Spirit of God has called us to do and not worry about the results.
Galatians 6: 9-10 NKJV 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.
As a body of Believers, we must be strong for those who are not able to. And our strength lies in our willingness and commitment to go to our Heavenly Father on behalf of those we love, those who are hurting and the world that is desperately in need of hope.
1 Corinthians 15:58 NLT 58 So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.
Keep your focus on Jesus. For He is the Answer.
