Jeremiah 30:8 NLT  8 For in that day,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, “I will break the yoke from their necks and snap their chains. 

Maybe its because I’ve watched too many crime dramas, but I recently had the thought/vision/daydream of  a group of people being physically restrained.  Their arms and legs chained behind and beneath them, with their adversary holding either a gun to their head or knife to their neck.  Their lives were being threatened.

I watched as these people struggled to save their lives.  They just didn’t sit there bound, but tried any and everything they could to get free.

The image changed to a church.  Where I saw many people at the alter, on their knees, shackled and chained.  There were men with weapons, threatening and ridiculing them.  The difference in this image was that the people were not fighting to get free.  They were just allowing their tormentors to do what they wanted.

I heard myself ask the Lord, why was this happening?  Why in the church? The response was the following:

I then asked, why are the people remaining bound and shackled?  The Lord then replied, that all they need to do is stand up. Stand up in faith in Me, in the power that has been given them.  They will then realize that I have removed all the chains and made all weapons of their adversaries, ineffective as long as they remain in me.

As always, I recognize that this vision/dream, was meant for me personally.  I share it today in hopes that it may be of encouragement for someone also.

Let us stand in the power and might of Christ through faith. For He has broken our chains.
