Job 11:13-19 NIV 13 “If only you would prepare your heart and lift up your hands to him in prayer! 14 Get rid of your sins, and leave all iniquity behind you. 15 Then your face will brighten with innocence. You will be strong and free of fear. 16 You will forget your misery; it will be like water flowing away. 17 Your life will be brighter than the noonday. Even darkness will be as bright as morning. 18 Having hope will give you courage. You will be protected and will rest in safety. 19 You will lie down unafraid, and many will look to you for help.

There is so much more for us when we choose hope, faith and trust in God, than fear.  Fear simply takes too much from us and out of us.  But hope fills us and overflows from us, the very character of God that exists within us.

No mountain is ever climbed, no desert crossed, no challenge met with fear as the leader or even part of the team.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t have respect for danger or the unknown, but respecting danger and living fearfully are too different things.  One enables you to seek solutions and to move forward, to have hope. The other causes you to question and doubt, not only what you can do, but also places nonexistent limits on God, working in and through you.

We must keep in mind that God does not give us the spirit of fear (1Timothy 1:7); pure and simple.  Therefore, in our lives as Believers, we must choose hope at every opportunity and resist the temptation to allow fear to get a foothold into our hearts.

We can win, we will win, and we are winners, when we choose God.
