Are You Content?

“You are strong—right where your contentment in Christ begins.” – John UpChurch

Philippians 4:11-12 NASB Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. 12 I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need.

Out of the many writings of Paul, living by this one, is like trying to hold a handful of sand while running a marathon. I understand it, I get it, but something always happens where I’m wanting something else or something more than I currently have.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not talking so much about material things, power, prestige, wealth and accolades.  I realize that all these things are going to one day fade, rust, be destroyed or stolen. (Matthew 6:19-20). And, I’m not saying that I am completely cured of desiring those things, its just that they no longer occupy a majority of my thought-life and heart.

No, where I struggle in being content is in those things that as a Believer, we most desire or I guess, should desire.

More: Faith, Peace, Patience, Hope, Joy, Boldness, Trust, Love, Compassion, Christ-likeness, etc.  You know, more of the Fruits of the Spirit.

Sounds noble and good….right?  Nothing wrong with wanting more of the character and person of God. Correct?

These changes affect all parts of our bodies, particularly our extremities; that is until we are suddenly unable to use them, even for a short duration has not been experienced. levitra on line This article today will highlight a few facts buy viagra online a woman should be aware of – ED is a very common male sexual disorder. The high rate of fresh blood makes possible to treat the impotence in men that is levitra online purchase http://hartbuildersinc.com/levitra-7969 one of the biggest causes of erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. But here’s my problem. If I’m always wanting and desiring more of God’s Character, am I not being content?  Maybe no one else has this issue, but for me, if I’m always looking for more from God and not content with what I have of Him and where He has me, my discontent often can bring doubt, fear and frustration.  This then leads to me not walking and living in Victory, but going from one perceived storm or frustrating event to the next, wondering how I failed God.

But Paul provides an answer.

The very next verse Paul writes, brings this issue into perspective: Philippians 4:13 NASB 13 I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

Its only in being content and/or satisfied with Christ and all that He has done, is where our victory lies. And all that we desire, want and need, has been made available to us through Him and Him alone.  I believe that as long as I’m wanting more of God, then I will be trying to figure out what I need to do or stop doing, to get it. All the while, failing to realize that Christ has done it all.

You see, there is freedom in knowing that no matter what I do or don’t do, God loves me the same. That as a Believer, the storms that come and go are not punishment from God for something I didn’t get right.  Failure is not an option to a Child of God, because there is no failure in Christ. And as long as we are satisfied with our righteousness through Christ, our salvation through Christ, our redemption through Christ and that we are being made perfect through Christ for God’s glory, then like Paul, we can be content in and through all things.

We can never reach God’s standards by anything we are capable of doing.  I believe that is why Christ ask us to come to him and lay down our burdens and take His yoke. (Matthew 11:28-30) For Jesus has met all of God’s requirements for us. Therefore, we can rest in Him and enjoy the hope of eternal life with Christ.

May you find contentment in knowing that you are a Child of the Most High God.

Our Tests Are To Refine Us

“A gem cannot be polished without friction; the child of God cannot be perfected without adversity.” — Author Unknown

I Peter 1:6-7 NLT 6 So be truly glad! There is wonderful joy ahead, even though it is necessary for you to endure many trials for a while. 7 These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold-and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold. So if your faith remains strong after being tried by fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

Good morning my brothers and sisters.  It’s another day that the Lord has made and we should rejoice in the fact that God has given us this opportunity to know Him better, grow stronger in Him and to be of service to those around us.  We are to be a light against the growing darkness, hope to the hopeless and strength to those who may be weak at this time of their lives.

As I’ve stated many times before in these devotionals, I would rather not have to go through trials and tests. Oh how I wish that God would just gently “ZAP” me and all my spots and wrinkles of sin would be gone, my heart would be eradicated of all hate, lusts and fear,  my spirit  made strong in God’s might and power and my mind forever focused only on the things of God.  Well, that’s what I would like, however, God knows what I need and He knows what you need too.

In most of our training, we are given material to learn and then we are tested over that material. When we fail the test, this lets us know what we need to study more.  When we pass, it encourages us and prepares us to learn more.  As Peter states in the scripture above, the tests that God allows and/or takes us through, really are for our benefit. He knows that we will not like the tests we have to endure, but if we keep the eternal promises of God in the forefront of our hearts and minds, we can look at our test and trials as God’s great work in us.  I know that this is easier said than done, but it is the truth.

Anything short of being totally in God’s presence is unacceptable to Him and should be to us.  He desires for us to be with Him for all eternity.  For that to happen, we must go through some things to get our hearts, minds and spirits right.  Yes it would be great to not have to go through anything painful or challenging or unpleasant, but if we remember that God is with us through it all, we can learn our lessons well, let God purify our faith and make us stronger in His love, all in order to endure the evil of this world until Christ returns for us.

Be encouraged today and know that we are indeed being perfected each and every day.  God knows what we are going through and He loves us more than we can every completely know.  We are like a precious jewel in His sight.

God bless.

Play Time Is Over

I have the pleasure of posting the following challenge and a call to action to all Believers, from a guest poster.

This shouldn’t be new or a surprise to those in tuned with the Holy Spirit. For if we are truly listening, we all have heard the Spirit’s call to wake up from our apathy, lethargy and comfort, to live according to our calling. We are the repositories of the very power of God…Truth and Love. It was not given to us to covet in our cliques or groups of people that think and sound like us. No, we have been created, equipped and empowered, to share the GOOD NEWS. That Jesus Christ is Lord. He is the Son of God and our salvation, our redeemer our one true way to God.

Lets just be real and clear..there is only one way to God and that is through is gift of love, Jesus.

Romans 10;1-4 NLT 1 Dear brothers and sisters, the longing of my heart and my prayer to God is for the people of Israel to be saved. 2 I know what enthusiasm they have for God, but it is misdirected zeal. 3 For they don’t understand God’s way of making people right with himself. Refusing to accept God’s way, they cling to their own way of getting right with God by trying to keep the law. 4 For Christ has already accomplished the purpose for which the law was given. As a result, all who believe in him are made right with God.

My hope and prayer is that this post will indeed encourage us to recognize that we have been called to a greater purpose than to make a living and be comfortable. We are at war, a spiritual one, but still a war. With most wars, there is collateral damage and the war zone sometimes is not contained to a particular battlefield. As in the case of this spiritual war, it at often times spills over to our physical, natural world.

The strength and courage to wage this war correctly, lies not in our own abilities, but in those that God has provided for us.

PLAY TIME IS OVER

Play time is over..its time to walk your talk! Anyone can talk a good game, but can you live it? Anybody can look fearless, but can you truly be it?
If the pathway for body wastage will not remove properly then, it can really become the cause of creating unwanted health problems like menstrual disorders, uterine disease, cervical disease, tubal disease, gynecological generic cialis soft inflammation, and endocrine disorders. At times, we test our strength with those that are weaker than we are, but is that really a true test? The test comes when you have to stand against something that is three times your strength. That is the time when you recognize you need to let go of the fake control you have over your life and hand it over to Jesus.

You see, we think we are in control. Its because we paint a pretty picture before ourselves and others. We look around at our accomplishments and things we’ve acquired and stamp ourselves complete. Yet, feeling all so empty.

Every day the sun rises and sets and each day, we sometimes are faced with the exact same challenges of yesterday. When will we stop playing and move forward? When will we take our rightful place as Believers, Over-comers, Children of God and help create positive, lasting change and stop hiding under our own image of success? You see, the same person that you saw yesterday, unsaved, without hope and full of anger, is possibly still in the same condition today, which may be their last day.

But we as Christians, Lovers of the Lord, need to come out of our false sense of strength and put on the full armor of the Lord. Take up arms and fight the Good Fight of Faith. Trust our Lord and Savior, with a laughter so hard at the enemy, because we know the FIGHT HAS BEEN FIXED!

You see, it doesn’t matter which way the enemy comes at you . No matter how bad things may look, God, Almighty, Himself, will work everything out for the good of His Glory. So again ,its already done.

When will you trust Him with your whole heart. We must stop right now playing at trusting God!

For PLAY TIME IS OVER. -Bambi Jenkins 1/16/2013

We Are Not Alone.

Most of the time when I look back at the things that have occurred in my life, I recognize that there have been good moments and not so good ones. I have accomplished things that I set out to do and there are things I did not quite get done at all or completed in the way I would have liked. There were times of doubt, worry, fear and occasions of hope, joy and victory. Basically, what I am saying is that this is life. These things are typical to most of us.

As many things that occur over the course of our lives, there is still one constant: God is ever present. His love is always surrounding us and available. His Spirit is active at all times; indwelling, filling, comforting, guiding and teaching. And of course, God’s mercy and grace is plentiful, each and every day.

What I would like to share with you at this time, is to remember, to acknowledge, to know, just how blessed we are. No matter how bad our circumstances and situations are, they will never be bigger or greater than our God. I know they appear to be at times, but that is a lie and trick of the enemy.

I know it is nearly impossible for us to walk around with a smile on our faces at all times, but it IS possible for us to walk around with God’s love in our hearts. It IS possible to call on God for everything. Even our smallest requests do not bother Him and He hears us each and every time we call.

And finally, we must DESIRE the things that God desires. We know what He desires because He has shared it with us through His Word, His Son and His Spirit. He did not leave us ignorant, or without hope or without help.

A co-worker once told me something that God showed him that was so profound, that I would like to leave it with you. He said, “the wilderness is not meant for us to live in. Oh we may have to travel through it from time to time, but we are not meant to stay there. There is no or very little life sustaining substance in the wilderness. It is not for us, especially God’s Children”.

If you find yourself in the midst of a wilderness of your own making or someone else’s, don’t set up house or a tent. Keep moving! Get out! There’s a lot in this theme, but that may be for another devotional. I just want to say, that God loves you. You are His special creation that is worth more to Him than anything He has created. Lift up your head and heart and simply thank Him for another week, another day, another moment, another opportunity to be thankful and grateful for His love.

May God, richly bless you. Foe He IS in control. He ALWAYS has been. He ALWAYS will be.

In His Love,

Minister Dracy

I John 2: 15-17 NLT 15 Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. 17 And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

Begging God vs Asking, Believing and Receiving. Its A Matter of Want vs Need.

Psalm 37:23-25NIV 23 If the LORD delights in a man’s way, he makes his steps firm; 24 though he stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand. 25 I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.

The second scripture is a more familiar one:

Matthew 7:7-12NKJV 7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! 12 Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

First, both scriptures are true, because they are the Word of God.  Second, it requires unwavering belief and faith in God to patiently and diligently ask, trust and wait on God to do what He said He will do.  What trips us up a lot is in what we ask for and then trusting what God gives us, even if it isn’t right now or looks exactly like what we asked for.  This is tricky, because of our impatience, we jump at the closest thing to our prayers, instead of verifying with the Giver and reexamining what we have asked for and the reason(s) or motivation behind it.

I have found that I have asked and diligently sought, prayed and waited for things that I wanted. You know, those things that only benefit me for my own selfish reasons.  This is where the begging and frustration sets in, when God doesn’t deliver what I asked.  However, each and every time that my desires and needs, line up with God’s Word and will bring Him and His Kingdom glory, He never fails to provide.

The main precautions required in this problem is to avoid eating too much generic tadalafil uk of food or to avoid too much exposure to sunlight.Serious side effects like Irregular heart beats, heart attack, and stroke have been reported rarely in men taking this drug.
Again, it may not be in my time frame or come in a way I may have dreamed, but it is always better than I had ever imagined.

So my prayer for us all is to trust God.  Ask Him to take our desires, wants and needs, and make them ones that will bring Him glory and not just ourselves.  Then have faith to wait on our Lord.  For He hears the prayers of His Children.  He is not deaf and He doesn’t play games with us.  He wants to bless His Children and provide for them, just as we would do for our own.

Know that God loves you today, no matter what you did yesterday.  He is still deeply in love with you.

God bless.

Keep Your Past In The Past… It Does Not Define Your Future

Philippians 3:13 “Forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.”

Next to having faith and trusting in God for all things, this is probably the next hardest thing to do, at least for me. “Forgetting” means releasing the pain from the memory of the event or situation like you’d remove any poisons from a snake or insect bite. We must allow all those unsettled and unsettling issues that keep holding us in the night and affecting us in the light, to be broken by the power of God! If you are the injured party, forgive those who hurt you. If you did the hurting, forgive yourself – for God does. Allow His transforming power to heal your troubled emotions and cut the cord between you and your past. Only with God’s help and surrender to His power is this accomplished for you and me.

If you’re finished with where you are and you’re ready for where God wants you to go, then kiss the past goodbye.  Its power over your life is now broken!  Stop allowing satan to use those things against you to keep you from walking in your victory in Jesus.  Believe me when I say this is exactly what the enemy is doing to us.

As Moses and the Children of Israel watched Pharaoh’s armies be swallowed up by the Red Sea, the power of their past was also swallowed up and destroyed for all time.  This didn’t mean that they would not have other things to face, but the they were free from the things of the past.  As long as they were looking over there shoulders worrying about what was following them, they could not see what was promised ahead of them.

This is where we are today.  We need to look forward to the blessings that God has promised us. We must Rejoice! The old Pharaoh(s) of our past are dead. The enemies/sins, hold on us has been broken. So we must rise up and go forward in the victory of our Lord and Savior!

Lord, please approve my plans! Isn’t that what we are really wanting?

Obedience, pure and simple, opens up a pathway for the work of God . – David Stevens

Jeremiah 29:11KJV For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Jeremiah 29:11NKJV For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11NLT For I know the plans I have for you, ” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11NIV For I know the plans I have for you, ” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hoope and a future.

Jeremiah 29:11NASB For I know the plans that I have for you, “declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope

Jeremiah 29:11ASV For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope in your latter end.

This is absolutely one of my favorite scriptures to stand on when I am struggling with making a decision or when my well-laid plans have come up empty. It is interesting that no matter how its translated, a few things stand out to me:

1. God knows! I don’t, but God does. I am so thankful that He does. So what does He know? His thoughts and His plans for me/us.

2. God says/declares! Hallelujah! When God speaks, it is so, it is done! You can take what He says to the bank, to the board room, to the doctor, to the courtroom. You can especially take what God says or declares to the most important place of all…..the mirror. (I’ll let that one sink in for a minute).

3. God’s thoughts/plans for me/us is for our good and NOT for our harm. Let me repeat that last part……NOT FOR OUR HARM!
This is because they want to make a prescription for you online by filling a questionnaire or refilling an old prescription. viagra in usa Still lots of pharmacies in the United States do not supply the low cost doctor prescribed best buy for viagra drugs that the top online pharmacies provide. Therefore, it’s viagra india viagra essential to know the causes and preventions of premature ejaculation, if you do well and 5 things that you don’t and list them down. They purchase generic levitra boost body immunity and increase energy level.
4. So then, what does it mean when bad things happen to us? When our plans don’t turn out the way we wanted them to? What it simply means is that points 1, 2 and 3 are STILL in effect! Our circumstances, our plans, our situations does not change the facts that God knows, God has said and declared and that His thoughts and plans are for our good…..period! Now the final point from this scripture:

5. Everything God has done and is doing is to give us hope for the future. The future that He has prepared for us. To be with Him for all eternity.

No the journey is not smooth and laid out with roses and a sweet smell. I have not read in God’s Word where He has said or declared that it would be. But His Word is filled with a hope and a love that tells us that He longs for us to love Him, to trust Him and to depend solely upon Him.

I don’t know what tomorrow may bring. I may be told that my job has been eliminated and my services are no longer needed. The doctor may tell me that the pain I have in my body means that I have only a few days left to live. No matter what bad news may come, it will never change the fact that God is bigger and greater than anything we will face in life. It will not change the fact that God is creator of all and He alone is in Charge!. He sits on the throne of glory and Christ is at His right hand.

We can make all the plans we want, and believe me I have made many. But if they do not line up with what our Heavenly Father has put into place, we will never achieve the fullness of life that God has prepared for us. Now here’s the final piece of the puzzle for you. WE must decide if what God has planned for us is satisfactory. Is it really okay, that what God thinks is good for us, is acceptable? Isn’t that absolutely crazy when you really think about us deciding if what God wants for us is acceptable? (Lord, please forgive me for my foolish thinking).

Here’s a thought to consider and maybe for us to declare today: Lord, I want to know your ways and will for my life above all else. And then, to have the faith to walk in the way you desire for me.

I like quoting Jeremiah 29:11. But if you go down to verse 13, you will understand the key to God’s declaration.

Jeremiah 29:13NKJV And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

It is so easy to place our plans in front of God and beg and/or demand that He approves them. But if there is one thing I have come to learn in my limited time her, is that its not about my plans. Its really not about what I want. Its solely about what God has ordained, through His Word and Will for me.

Yes I/we have been allowed to choose which plans to go after. Ours or God’s. Think about it and choose very, very wisely.

We Need Divine Surgery….ASAP!

Judges 3:1-5 NLT 1 These are the nations that the LORD left in the land to test those Israelites who had not experienced the wars of Canaan. 2 He did this to teach warfare to generations of Israelites who had no experience in battle. 3 These are the nations: the Philistines (those living under the five Philistine rulers), all the Canaanites, the Sidonians, and the Hivites living in the mountains of Lebanon from Mount Baal-hermon to Lebo-hamath. 4 These people were left to test the Israelites—to see whether they would obey the commands the LORD had given to their ancestors through Moses. 5 So the people of Israel lived among the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, 6 and they intermarried with them. Israelite sons married their daughters, and Israelite daughters were given in marriage to their sons. And the Israelites served their gods.

We want God to destroy our enemies. We see them all around us. They attack and attack. We seem to have no or very little peace in our lives and always appear to be fighting.

We want God to bless us, give us peace and joy. We want to worship Him and praise Him.

However, we ask God, why won’t He destroy these enemies so that we can have peace?

The problem is that we don’t realize that God IS destroying them.  All of them. They are just not the enemies we see with our physical eye. The ones God are destroying are within us!

Romans 7:18 NIV18 I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.

Everything that God takes us through, is to destroy enemies within us that are preventing us from trusting solely in Him, from completely loving Him and from totally allowing us to rest in Him.  These enemies, only God can destroy.  But to do so, He has to get to where they exist.

Unfortunately, these enemies attempt to fortified themselves against God in the form of our lusts, desires of the world and our wants.  They try to hide themselves from God behind man-made goals and false things we place our security in.  They often wear masks of self-righteousness, self-pity, self-confidence and self-reliance.  We can’t often see them we our limited vision, but God can. We can’t touch them or defeat them, but God can.

Interfering in every aspect of life, alcohol is often held as the prime culprit behind deteriorating relationships with the near and dear ones. professional viagra cheap Counseling the patients is highly advised when the patient does not complain of pain new.castillodeprincesas.com sildenafil india price or discomfort but has infection-fighting cells in his prostate fluid and semen. Cancer cell are also less able to recover from the toxic effects of chemotherapy than viagra generika can normal cells. These enemies are like cancer, that takes harsh treatments to cure or eradicate. They are like a 100yr old house where the walls have 5-6 layers of wallpaper on them, covered up with 3 coats of paint.  They are like the squeaks and rattles in our cars that we can’t find. So we turn up our radios so we can no longer hear them.

God reminds us in His Word and by His actions that every promise He has made to His Children, He will fulfill.  Every one!  I truly believe that God has removed the power that these enemies hold over us. But the problem is that for every one that God reveals to us that He has made powerless, we allow another one to take its place.  This occurs when we become too busy and are in a hurry to wait on God’s Will to be completed in many areas of our lives.  Its like leaving the operating table before the surgery is completed. Or its like washing the car and not taking the time to dry it. Basically, we are refusing to rest in Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to complete His purpose of defeating these enemies within us.

Jeremiah 13:10-11NIV 10 These wicked people, who refuse to listen to my words, who follow the stubbornness of their hearts and go after other gods to serve and worship them, will be like this belt—completely useless! 11 For as a belt is bound around a man’s waist, so I bound the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah to me,’ declares the LORD, ‘to be my people for my renown and praise and honor. But they have not listened.’

I often hear God telling me, ” If you would just stop wiggling out of My grasp when I hold you close to Me, I wouldn’t have to hold you tighter.  I won’t lose you, but the more you squirm to get out of My arms, the more I must squeeze to hold on to you.”

I believe that it hurts God to see us struggle. It hurts Him to see us show love and attention to what He knows is only there to steal our hearts from Him. Further, He is just and His Word must stand. He will not lose any that He has given to His Son. And because there are still many to come to Him, God will not bring final judgment to satan, until the time that He and He alone has determined.

We must stop running from God and let Him love us.  He have to know that He will do all that He has promised us.

Romans 8:1-3 NIV 1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering.

May you allow God to minister to you today. Take the time to simply listen and allow His Spirit to comfort, heal and restore you.  Allow Him to perfect you in a way that you can’t nor never will be able to.  God desires to be with us every step of the way, but He will not force Himself onto anyone.  He loves us that much to allow us to choose Him.  I pray that you choose Him now in every area of your life.

If My People…. Are You His?

2 Chronicles 7:1, 14-15 NKJV 1 When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the  burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the temple. 14 … if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek  My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will  forgive their sin and heal their land. 15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer  made in this place.

In 2 Chronicles 7, we find Solomon praying to God, to dedicate the temple they built to Him.  Verse one tells us that the “fire from Heaven” came down and sanctified the offering and sacrifices of the people that were made.  Not only that, but the very Spirit of God “filled” the entire temple.  Later in the chapter, it says that the Lord appeared before Solomon and tells him that He heard Solomon’s prayer and has chosen to dwell there.  So far so good, right?
Now comes the interesting part.  God then informs Solomon, that when He(God), “shuts up Heaven” and doesn’t bless the people, there was a way out for them.  This is where we come to the more familiar verses of 14 and 15: “if My people, who are called by my name…….”
Several things to consider here.
1. Solomon builds a place for God to dwell amongst them and makes sacrifices.
2. Solomon prays for God to bless the temple and enter in.
3. God does just that, by sending His Spirit in the form of fire to show is approval.
4. God then tells Solomon that “when”, not “if”, He shuts the windows of Heaven.
5. God then provides a promise to Solomon and God’s people.
So what’s the message?
Pray for the realization that the Holy Spirit dwells in your temple (you).  1 Corinthians 3:16 NKJV 16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and  that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
Understand that the sacrifices that God is looking for is not burnt offerings but a humble spirit and a repentant and clean heart. Psalm 51: 16-17 NKJV 16 You do not desire a sacrifice, or I would offer  one. You do not want a burnt offering.17 The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God.
Accept the reality that we will experience storms and trials in this life…no one is exempt.
And finally, hold on to God’s promise that if we stay humbled before Him, continue to pray, seek God’s ways and will, and turn from our own agendas, God will keep us and provide for us.
I don’t know what plans or goals you may have set for this year, but the one God gave me, is one that will ensure His people a victorious year.  What say you men and women of God?
I believe God’s Word to be true and I know that God is faithful.  So lets stand and rejoice.  For we have the victory.
God bless

It May Be Hot In The Furnace, But God’s Presence Is A Cooling Breeze.

As sure as God puts His Children in the furnace He will be in the furnace with them. — Charles H. Spurgeon

Daniel 3:21- 25 NLT 21 So they tied them up and threw them into the furnace, fully dressed in their pants, turbans, robes, and other garments. 22 And because the king, in his anger, had demanded such a hot fire in the furnace, the flames killed the soldiers as they threw the three men in. 23 So Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, securely tied, fell into the roaring flames. 24 But suddenly, Nebuchadnezzar jumped up in amazement and exclaimed to his advisers, “Didn’t we tie up three men and throw them into the furnace?” “Yes, Your Majesty, we certainly did,” they replied. 25 “Look!” Nebuchadnezzar shouted. “I see four men, unbound, walking around in the fire unharmed! And the fourth looks like a god!”
Sometimes, we often find ourselves in one of lief’s furnaces.  Some of our own making and some we are thrown into. But for the Believer, we never have to be there alone, unless we choose to be.  And the only way we would choose to be is due to our lack of faith in the Word of God that states He will never leave us alone.  Not in the examination room, not in the board room, not in the court room, not in your family room or even if you don’t have a room of your own, God has promised to never, ever leave you.
If we can maintain our focus on Christ, the same miracle that we read about in Daniel, is the same miracle that God will and really is, doing for us today. I think we as Believers must get this notion out of our hearts and minds that God will keep us from the “fiery furnaces of life”.  But the fact of the matter is, that is not what the Bible says.
It is when we are in the “furnace” or during the storms or traveling through the wilderness of life, that we usually can see or hear God.  Its during these times that God gets our attention and focus.  Its during our “furnace time” that our plans and ways of living are exposed to the real heat of life and they are burned to ashes.  Its only after then that we can let go and allow God to do His refining work within us.
Just remember that a clay pot is just that until it is put to the fire.  Only after that does it become valuable, a work of art, something that is precious and meaningful to the Potter.  A masterpiece that is worthy of a special place in the Potter’s home.
I pray today that we change our perspective a little.  The Bible didn’t say that the three Hebrew boys were kicking and screaming and resisting when told they were going to be thrown in the furnace.  In fact, they were bold enough to tell the King to do whatever, because either God would be with them and deliver them, or if He didn’t, they still were not going to give in to what the rest of the world(kingdom) was doing.
The time is quickly approaching for all Believers to truly stand. Running and hiding in church is no longer going to cut it.  Hiding behind the pastor’s faith or church membership or a denomination or religious duties are not going to be enough, as if it ever was.
Do you have a relationship with God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit?  Is it a relationship where you can tell the storm to cease and it will?  Is it one where the fire of the furnace can’t touch you?  If not, today is the day that you can ask God to make your relationship with Him as such.  You can ask Him for a relationship with Him that will allow you to stand, no matter what.  It can be yours today, if you want it more than what you have right now.
The choice is always yours.  God is waiting.
