It was a constant theme in the Old Testament, that for the people of God to be successful, they would have to be reminded to believe and put their trust in their God. The One and Only God, that had proven to them, time and time again, that He had their back. Every time that they went to battle believing and trusting in God, He made them victorious. When they did not seek God’s direction or lost their faith, they were defeated.

This concept has not changed for us today. We can run around in fear, hopelessness and defeat, worrying about every news report that is broadcast, or we can walk in confidence, assurance and hope, that the God we serve, the God that never fails, will give us the victory in all that we face today.

War, diseases, poverty, heartache, storms, trials, and all manner of evils in this world are real. We unfortunately have to live in the midst of this. My prayer is that if Believers would truly Believe and live as if we truly Believe, then maybe we could positively affect and inject hope in this world, that will win the day over the constant mounting lies of Fear, that is so prevalent in our Society.

For what is the purpose of Believers, of the Church, if it is not for us to stand in Faith and God- given Power to be victorious over the enemies of the Kingdom of God and to be a beacon of Hope in Christ, to a world, slipping into darkness by the minute?

I know life brings with it some very scary things. But Christ brings with Him, the power, the hope and love, that can chase those scary things, back to the hell from where they come.

If we Believe that we are Victorious, then we will See ourselves as Victorious, and then Walk as Victors, not victims.
